The academic and professional network behind MD Acumen

New Vision University, Tbilisi, Georgia

Professor Rajesh Varma holds the appointment of Professor of Cardiovascular–Renal–Metabolic (CVRM) Medicine & Women's Health at New Vision University — a leading private university in the Caucasus region with internationally accredited medical programmes.

The partnership encompasses academic teaching, curriculum development, research supervision, and institutional collaboration in postgraduate medical education. Two research abstracts submitted to the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 are attributed to this appointment.

University of Cambridge — Department of Public Health & Primary Care

Professor Varma holds a Visiting Researcher appointment at the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, University of Cambridge. This affiliation supports active research collaboration in cardiovascular risk management, digital phenotyping, and AI-augmented clinical decision-making in primary care.

The Cambridge collaboration underpins one of two ESC Congress 2026 submitted abstracts — investigating digital phenotyping and additive multimorbidity scoring to operationalise very-high-risk secondary prevention in primary care, designated as a Young Investigator Award submission in Preventive Cardiology.

Essex Medical Society, United Kingdom

The Essex Medical Society is a community of healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing medical education through public events, lectures, debates, and medical journal publication. Professor Tham Nimal-Raj, MD Acumen's co-founder, serves as Founder and Chair of the Essex Medical Society.

The partnership with MD Acumen supports the delivery of continuing education programmes and clinical update events for healthcare professionals across the Essex region and beyond — connecting MD Acumen's clinical education expertise with the Society's established professional network.
